Mom and baby Jackson blew into the door on a wintery Vancouver morning … right into our 26 degree Celcius studio! Oh, the life of a Vancouver baby photographer!
Baby Jackson was the first boy I had into the studio for a while after a run of girls. While it is always fun to dress up the little ladies with dainty tiebacks and whispy soft bonnets, it is refreshing to get down to basics and keep things simple and organic, just like newborns are! So without further ado, here he is in all of his 6-day old freshness, sporting a soft mohair pixie hat from the talented Michelle at Rock N Wool.
I think we can all agree: Those lips should earn him a spot on the cover of every baby magazine in the nation! Seriously, I’m practically melting from cuteness overload!
Anyway, as you can see from the pictures below, Jackson and I had one of the best sessions together. His mom really followed the instructions to the letter and kept him awake for about 2 hours before the session, followed by a big feed at the studio. Her preparation efforts allowed us to have an especially awesome shoot together, as Jackson was in such a milk coma that he happily slept through me posing him for almost 2 hours. What an awesome little guy (and mom!).
I can’t wait to see how he grows and changes in the upcoming months – he is going to be a heartbreaker for sure! I sure hope to see him again soon when he is sitting up and ready to rock a Sitter session!
