Fine art school photography brings the artistic vision of high-end portraiture into the school setting. I make a point of capturing the personality and the essence of each individual child, without awkward poses, forced smiles, and fake backdrops.
Photographing the child against a simple backdrop, in a fun, light-hearted environment where each kid can relax and be themselves, results in classic and timeless pieces of art that can proudly be displayed on family walls.

01.
Let’s get booked
I’m sure you have a bunch of questions about how and why these school photos are different – ask away! I walk you through all the steps and options, and after a visit to your school to meet and talk logistics, we put the date(s) on the calendar. Most schools book 6-12 months in advance.
02.
Get ready
I can take all the admin and communication with parents off your plate (if you wish). I make sure that we have a solid plan for photo day, and I provide parents with an extensive preparation guide that will answer all the questions about photo day, what to wear, how to order, etc.
03.
It’s Photo Day!
After a quick setup, I start capturing the real smiles and real personalities of these little humans. I take the time with each child to make their personalities shine. Expect to hear lots of giggles and funny noises! We also take class photos, and teacher photos on the day.
04.
Ordering opens
About 1-2 weeks after photo day, each parent receives access to their unique, password-protected online gallery. Here they will find 5-10 photos of their child, with a variety of expressions to choose from. Parents can order digital files, prints and wall art, right from their gallery. They have 1 week to order.
05.
Product delivery
While digital files are delivered immediately after ordering, prints and wall art will be delivered to your school about 2 weeks after ordering closes. It is such a joy to see these smiling faces in print and know these photos will be filling frames on desks and walls soon!
06.
Session debrief
I provide a personal, customized experience for every school and I’m always striving to make this a seamless, stress-free experience with your Vancouver school photographer. After every photo day, we sit down and discuss what went well, and what we could change to make things even easier easier next year.
